Fire Fighting Drones

An interesting video, sent in by Steve Dalziel, of drones being used in a test scenario to evaluate their effectiveness to fight multi-story fires.
Repairer/Restorer Extraordinaire
The Yellow Brick Road disguised as a tree certainly dead-ended Russell’s pride and joy. No doubt with Russell’s rebuilding skills this high performer plane will soon be punching holes in the stratosphere. As if rebuilding his Jaguar veteran car isn’t enough a little bird told me that he’s going into competition with Fourex.
Weekday Trainers required
President Phil is concerned there is a lack of pilots to train new members during the week. We would love to see some of our members show interest in finding out what is required of you to step up into an instructors role. If you are interested and would like to know more, please email President Phil to express your interest.
How to Cover a Balsa Wood plane
One of our own members (Stephen Worsley) has a brilliant YouTube Channel with some excellent ideas. This one in particular was the most well structured video on covering a balsa wood wing I have seen, well done Steve… also a great plane that he has created.

Flying V-Wing Plane (Experimental)
This is an interesting video of an experimental V Shaped plane (not delta wing but an actual V shape). I bet the pilots’ heart was beating way out of his chest as this experimental beauty started down the runway… (Thanks Glen for sending this in)
