Expressions of interest
We are looking at holding a number of different styled events we have put up on our Events Suggestions page and would like to have any expressions of interest from anyone who would like to participate in any of these events. We only want to run events that our members are interested in so please have your say. If you think any of them are a good idea please contact our Vice President, Sharne on vicepresident@rams.asn.au or call 0407 730 911.
No flying this Sunday 26th June
Each year RAMS works with other sporting clubs to ensure all sports and hobbies that use our field have a chance to fulfill their objectives. The Brisbane Royals Cricket Club use our field for 2 or 3 Sundays each year for their annual competition and while they were able to fulfill 2 of their 3 days early May their 3rd day was rained out. They have requested (via Council) for this Sunday as a make up day for which the RAMS Committee have agreed.
The RAMS website is always updated with a coloured banner on the front page to alert members of anything up and coming.
Membership Renewal is Due 30th June
We have had a great early response to everyone renewing their membership which is awesome! Thank you. If you haven’t already renewed please download a copy of our membership renewal form and submit the form, and payment, through to RAMS Secretary ASAP.
Reminder – No Physical License
This year the Model Aeronautical Association of Australia (MAAA) are not sending out physically printed pilot license cards. Instead they will be emailing out the cards in PDF form direct to each member. (I have verified from everyone’s membership form their correct email address is in the MAAA database)
At this stage I haven’t seen an example of these new processes nor do I have a time frame at the moment but when I know anything I will communicate it out.
